Teachers Are People Too

Have you ever considered the feelings of a teacher? To some it may come as a surprise, but the life of a teacher can be difficult too. Most students don’t know what teachers go through or know anything about their personal lives. Well guess what. Teachers have feelings too, and they have a life outside of school. Teachers go through a lot as to what I see and hear. They have to get up every day to get ready to teach regardless of what is going on in their personal lives. The least we students can do is show that we respect and care for them. Of course some of us students have our blue days, but so do the teachers.. so take a timeout and think about how they may be feeling. I see problems in the teacher’s faces and it’s not like I know details about what they're going through… but I just get a vibe. Asking, ‘how are you?’or simply saying, ‘hello,’can do a lot for a teacher… it doesn’t have to be anything big … perhaps just a smile to brighten their day. So the next time your teachers seem grumpy, tired, or distracted… cut them a break and realize that they might just be having a bad day of their own.
