Today’s student spotlight is on Hugh Matthew Morris Parker. AKA, Hugo. He is 17 years old. He was born on December 14, 2005 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa. This makes Hugo a Sagittarius. Of course this means that he has a bit of an itch in his shoes and will always be ready to take on a new adventure. It also means that his bravery will make him a good fit for leadership roles. Can we say starting point guard next year? Hugo’s favorite classes include but are not limited to math, geography, and history. This means that he likes spending time with Mr. Hudnall and Mr. Wojcik! He also enjoys Mrs. Pieper and Mrs. Hermelbracht’s classes because they are unique and fun! He enjoys their sitting facilities the most! Hugo participates in Cross Country
and Basketball here at U-Nation. A highlight of his cross country season was the Fort Calhoon meet where he ran a smokin 18:53! That’s 3.1 miles bro! He feels the most challenging course of the season was at Indian Trails Country Club in Beemer! He felt the final hill was an obstacle of great proportions. But our boy was able to overcome it! Some basketball moments that he has enjoyed are: all of his skills, baby! Of course Hugo can drain three’s but he mostly enjoys playing lock down defense. “I like to play my role,” said Hugo. “Whatever coach asks of me, I will get it done.”
Hugo enjoys watching sports too. His favorite teams are the Kansas City Chiefs (Super Bowl Bound, Baby) and the Golden State Warriors. His players to watch are Patrick Mahomes, Steph Curry, Jordan Poole, and Klay Thompson.
Some hobbies that Hugo enjoys are running and cleaning! Wait-What? His favorite things to run are hills and his favorite things to clean are rooms! He considers himself somewhat of a neat freak. Dis guy’s favorite movie is Big Hero Six. He likes this film because the plot itself is cool and emotional. His favorite T.V. show is, On My Block.
Hugo’s dream date would be with Jenna Ortega. He thinks Jenna is smart, beautiful, and above all, classy.
Our boy’s favorite food includes chicken strips and fries. He feels that Chick-fil-A has the best strips in the area. Something unique about Hugo is that he can be heard singing his heart out while walking down the hallways. When he has his air pods in, the music goes to his soul and he just has to share the love with everyone. Some lyrics that he enjoys go something like: ‘Every time I start to close the door, you knock and I let you in. Loving you is my greatest sin.’AND ‘I been Steph Curry with the shot, been cookin’ with the sauce, chef, curry with the pot, boy.’ These are the words he would sing while driving in his dream ride - a Trackhawk jeep- complete with a 6.2 L V8 under the hood.
If Hollywood made a movie about Hogo’s life, he would like to see Steph Curry play the lead role. Why? Because he’s a handsome baby faced assassin of course! Hugo’s student spotlight would not be complete without some advice for the underclassman. That advice goes something like, ‘Don’t be sneaky because you’ll get caught!’ Finally, we asked Hugo the most important question: Why is sandwich meat round when bread is square? His response: ‘It has something to do with the crust!’ - And remember to slam that like button if you liked Hugo’s article!
